Mission Possible Int’l Joins
The Constant Gardener Grassroots’ Support
Betty Martini, founder of Mission Possible Int’l
joins the National Coalition of Organized Women
in support of The Constant Gardener, the movie.
Her organization adds years of enlightened
investigation and research to the convergence as
it pertains to Big Pharma’s covert deliverance
to consumers of one of the most pervasive, toxic
food additives of this century, the synthetic
chemical and food sweetener, Aspartame (Nutrasweet/Equal/Spoonful,
E951/Canderel). Martini’s tireless
organizational network has been exposing the
dangers of Aspartame since the early 90s. Today,
her group has been handing out the NCOW flyers
tucked inside copies of “The Artificially
Sweetened Times,” a 24-page booklet describing
aspartame biochemistry, its adverse effects on
humans and the
sordid history of its approval.

Mission Possible is a global network dedicated
to educating the world about Rumsfeld’s disease,
named after Donald Rumsfeld, U.S. Secretary of
Defense and former CEO of the drug company, G.D.
Searle, a former subsidiary of the biotech giant
Monsanto. Commonly known as NutraSweet,
aspartame is a highly pernicious substance
consumed in vast quantities all over the world.
It is a synthetic non-caloric chemical
consisting of 40% aspartic acid, 50%
phenylalanine and 10% methanol. “Aspartame has,
at some time, accounted for 80 percent of
product complaints filed with the FDA in one
year. The FDA has published a list of 92
symptoms of aspartame poisoning including memory
loss, weight gain, blood glucose disorders,
seizures, blindness and death”, cites Martini.
Today aspartame is found in an estimated 9,000
products commonly consumed by infants, children,
teenagers, adults and seniors such as soda pop,
gum, jams, baked goods, ice cream, yogurt,
cereals, pediatric vitamins and prescription
drugs and more.
Donald Rumsfeld triumphed over public health
and safety by pushing approval of Aspartame
In 1976 the U.S. Department of Justice convened
a grand jury investigation of aspartame
developer G.D. Searle for defrauding the U.S.
Food and Drug Administration in Searle’s
petition for product approval. But, in 1978,
Searle hired Donald Rumsfeld as CEO and, in
1981, political muscle triumphed over public
health and safety the neurotoxic drug Aspartame
was approved.

The carcinogenic nature of Aspartame will be
reported in a scientific conference Sept. 18-21,
2005
Reporting to the Ministry of Health and to the
Superior Institute of Health of the Italian
government in April 2005, the Cancer Research
Center of the European Foundation of Oncology
and Environmental Sciences "B. Ramazzini" in
Bologna, Italy found that aspartame is a
carcinogenic agent, capable of inducing
lymphomas and leukemia in female rats, including
when administered at dose levels very close to
the acceptable daily intake for humans. These
findings were recently communicated to the
Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center of
Columbia University, the National Cancer
Institute of the US government, and the National
Toxicology Program of the US National Institutes

) The final results will be presented at the 3rd
international scientific conference of the
Collegium Ramazzini, "Framing the Future in
Light of the Past: Living in a Chemical World",
to be held in Bologna, Italy from September
18-21, 2005, the proceedings of which will be
published in the Annals of the New York Academy
of Sciences. Their study also showed only
aspartame fed rats developed malignant brain

Martini is encouraged by the response she is
getting as movie goers leave the theatre and are
handed a flyer and a copy of The Artificially
Sweetened Times. In The Constant Gardener,
HIV-positive Africans are the guinea pigs for
Big Pharma. But they are not the only ones. “In
South America”, Martini remarks, “GD Searle, the
originator of Aspartame, did their drug trials
on people in poor South American villages. Many
developed brain tumors; others had seizures. And
just like in the fictionalized Constant
Gardener, many clinical trial subjects
disappeared into unmarked graves.”
"Inevitably Codex will affect the US if not
stopped. This is essentially the rulemaking body
of the WTO on food and food safety. Codex now
threatens to take away consumers' access to all
vitamins and food to put them under the control
of Big Pharma. England and France are big
aspartame markets for Merisant and Ajinomoto
where consumers' only source of supplements soon
will be Big Pharma. Reports from the UK are
they're laced with aspartame. Corinne Gouget,
Mission Possible France, reported aspartame in
magnesium and vitamins. When asked didn't they
know aspartame is dangerous the chemist replied,
'yes, but we only use a small amount'."
Martini says their agenda is to weaken
supplements till they're powerless, add
addictive aspartame so consumers buy more and
more while they get sicker and sicker. Without
pure and safe supplements to counter these
abominations consumers will buy Big Pharma
prescription poisons; and BP heads to the bank
with a lorry full of money. And, O yes, hire
Julie Andrews to sing: "Just a spoonful of
poison makes the vitamins go down!"
Aspartame interacts with all drugs and vaccines,
so nothing from BP is safe reveals Martini.
"Consider that aspartame triggers autism as do
vaccines and they interact! It contains aspartic
acid, an excitotoxin. Aspartame also has an
additive and synergistic effect with MSG.

With the pervasive distribution of Aspartame
into American consumer foods, every man, woman
and child is exposed to this potentially fatal,
synthetic, systemic, cumulative neurotoxic
chemical masquerading as a sweetener. “How sweet
can slow death be?” concludes, Martini.
Aspartame is a prime example of an adulterated
neurotoxic drug which violates federal and state
statues decomposing at 86 degrees with breakdown
products of free methyl alcohol, formaldehyde
and even DKP, a brain tumor agent.
